Coulture Magazine is a vibrant, thriving community of creatives across UNC-Chapel Hill’s campus. With more than 370 members, we pride ourselves on being one of the largest Hussman organizations — filled to the brim with talent and a drive to constantly improve.
The year 2025 marks 10 years of Coulture on campus — now an essential piece of the University’s identity. Coulture is everywhere, appreciating and weaving fashion into every corner of campus and student life. The final shoot of Issue 17: Epoque is a celebration of just that.

For this shoot, we wanted to show our love for UNC’s campus. What better way to do it than with a spin on the iconic I ❤️ NY shirts? Our very own, iconic I ❤️ Coulture shirts — designed by the talented Niha Kanumuri — were a painstaking labor of love, but they reflect the effort we put into our craft as both creatives and students. Our six models — Ann Marie Helmy, Lucy Wu, Mason Thibodeaux, Parmis Maeve Kimia, Taanvii Verma and Will Kleinschmidt — wore the I ❤️ Coulture baby tees across campus, spreading school spirit, pride and chicness throughout.

We used Kenan Stadium, Hanes Art Center and Meantime Coffee Co. as shoot locations to tap into every corner student culture covers. All three spaces are centered around community, whether through sustainable coffee and tea, showcasing student art or cheering on our football team th. Each is a place that gets students excited to be a Tar Heel.

Our UNCoulture photoshoot aimed to capture what it feels like to breathe UNC’s campus culture in 2025, while celebrating 10 years of Coulture. Closing out our first decade and stepping into the next marks a transition — but without losing sight of what is at our core: the campus community.
