Le Dîner En Blanc

There are few traditions as effortlessly chic and extravagant as Le Dîner en Blanc. Born in Paris in 1988, the all-white dinner party began as a simple gathering among friends. Since then, Le Dîner en Blanc has become a global phenomenon and a celebration of elegance, community and timeless style.

The tradition began when François Pasquier invited a group of friends to an elegant outdoor dinner at the Bois de Boulogne. To help everyone find one another in the crowd, he asked guests to dress entirely in white. What started as a clever logistical decision quickly became the defining visual of the event, a symbol of refinement.

Le Dîner en Blanc has graced many venues over the years, with 17,000 guests celebrating its 30th anniversary at the Esplanade des Invalides. Today, guests from around the world toast to Le Dîner en Blanc in more than 120 cities across 40 countries.

To celebrate 10 years of Coulture, we held our own Le Dîner en Blanc, reimagining it through an editorial lens.

Using Coker Arboretum as our dreamy garden backdrop, the shoot became as much a celebration of togetherness as it was a visual spectacle. More than 30 models – alongside editors, photographers and creative team members – were styled in head-to-toe white. Silhouettes ranged from classic to modern, minimal to ethereal, evoking the effortless glamour of the original French soirée while channeling the innovative energy that defines Coulture.

Glasses clinked mid-toast. Champagne bottles popped. Conversations sparked and laughter filled the air, truly capturing the essence of Le Dîner en Blanc in both candid frames and choreographed moments. The shoot unfolded like a real gathering, not just a set. It was a creative communion, a testament to what this magazine has always stood for – collaboration, care and beauty in every form. It was a reminder that the most compelling images often come from the in-between moments.
